Situated in the beautiful valley of Franschhoek lies La motte community hall. A community hall which was constructed mostly out of wooden timber slats.
We were contracted to completely strip the existing building and cladding of it externally, protecting it from the harsh environments of nature. Everything was redone or repurposed. New toilet facilities including granite tops and push button taps finished off with porcelain tiles and stainless-steel trims. Power saving LED lighting connected to completely new rewired electrical infrastructure including back up generator for those not so favourable load shedding moments. Solar powered hot water cylinder also installed
Passive fire protection paints painted throughout the inside of the building, creating a fire barrier complying with all fire regulations. Wooden floors were repaired, prepared and sealed with a hard-wearing decorative protective coating. New stage curtains with mechanical devices for opening and closing of curtains installed.
This project complements the aesthetics and functionality of well-deserved community centre.
